Marc Weinstein served the Oakland, California tennis community for more than two decades. His quick wit, upbeat energy, and action-orientation made a deep lasting impact for thousands of Oakland youth and adults - leading the way as a teacher, program director, facility manager, and passionate advocate of all things tennis. While playing the game he loved, we lost him too soon to cardiac arrest in December 2022. |
To honor Marc’s life and contributions, the Marc Weinstein Tennis Legacy Foundation launched in early 2023. We are a 100% volunteer, 501(c)3 foundation championing equitable youth tennis development for our dynamic Oakland community. The foundation looks to partner with organizations and individuals who are doing the work of spreading tennis to our youth. Marc knew that tennis is much more than a game - it is a vehicle to develop leadership, teamwork, healthy living and self-discipline while playing a game that is a true joy.
